EASTON, Pa.- Senior co-captain Deanna DiCroce and sophomore Brittany Blass captured the Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week awards, respectively, the league announced Monday.

DiCroce assisted on both of Lafayette’s goals in its 2-1 win over Drexel on Sept. 14. She also tallied a late mark in a 4-2 win over Quinnipiac this past Sunday to move her into eighth place in Patriot League history and third in school history with 109 career points. With her first weekly award of the season, DiCroce now stands alone as the all-time leader with seven career honors.

Blass shined against Drexel, scoring both goals off perfectly executed corner pieces. She led a defense that allowed just 12 total shots on the weekend including eight from Drexel and four against Quinnipiac. This is Blass’ second defensive weekly award of the season.

"Deanna and Brittany were excellent this week as leaders of their respective lines,” head coach Andrew Griffiths said. “They have both been effective in communicating and influencing the play of their teammates around them, leading to two solid team performances."

Lafayette is set to face No. 20 Albany in Albany, N.Y. on Saturday at 1 p.m.
