Stone Named Patriot League Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week

Senior tri-captain Jennifer Stone (Newtown, Pa.) was named the first Patriot League Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 8 after scoring nine goals in th Leopards' first five games.
Stone recorded her first career hat trick in Lafayette's 5-4 win over Albany on Aug. 31. She tallied her second-straight three-goal game on Sept. 3 in the Leopards' first home game of the season, a 4-3 loss to Villanova.
In Lafayette's weekend trip to Virginia, Stone scored one goal versus William and Mary, and added two more in the Leopards' 3-2 overtime win over the University of Richmond.
Stone is now tied for fourth on the Patriot League's career points list with 103 points in just over three seasons. With her 18 points so far this season, Stone is also third on Lafayette's career points list.
Stone and the Leopards, who were ranked first in this year's Patriot League pre-season poll, will be back in action at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13 when they take on Penn State at Rappolt Field.
