Leopards Tune Up with Scrimmage at Monmouth

EASTON, Pa.-The Lafayette field hockey team participated in their first scrimmage of the 2012 season against Monmouth in West Long Branch, N.J. Friday.

Senior Emily Valeo scored three goals for the Leopards in a format that featured three 25-minute periods and a running tally that ended with Lafayette on top 5-1. All three of Valeo's goals came off penalty strokes.

Up next for the Leopards is a scrimmage against Syracuse set for Aug 21 at 4 p.m. at Rappolt Field before they open their season at home against Ball State on Aug 26 at 1 p.m.
