EASTON, Pa. - The two-time defending Patriot League Champion field hockey team began its quest for a three-peat on Friday morning with the opening of their preseason training. The Leopards had meetings and medical screenings with the Sports Medicine staff on Thursday.

Head Coach Jennifer Stone began her first season in charge with a fitness test in the morning followed by the team's first training session at Metzgar Fields. The squad will be back out on the field this afternoon for a second training session.

The Leopards return six starters from last season Patriot League Championship team, including Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Year, Jessica Deutsch. While seniors Kelsey Gula, Kristin Heaney and Haley Keenan and junior Brittany Blass have been named team captains.
