EASTON, Pa.Rayell Heistand, assistant coach of the Lafayette field hockey team, was selected as one of 30 members of the U.S. Senior National Team, it was announced this past Thursday at the conclusion of the week-long selection tournament.

“I am extremely excited to have the opportunity to represent the U.S. for the next year," Heistand said. "To be one of the 30 players selected is an amazing honor and I can't wait to begin training."

The athletes selected will report immediately to Rutgers University to begin preparations for the International Hockey Federation’s World League Semifinal in London on June 22-30. Parnham anticipates selecting the 18-player roster for the World Cup qualifying event the week of June 3rd.
