Magadan Named to U.S. World League Travel Roster
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – A few short weeks after her Lafayette graduation, Amanda Magadan ’17 was named to the U.S. National Team travel roster.
The news came on Thursday afternoon as U.S. head coach Janneke Schopman announced her roster that will head to Johannesburg, South Africa to compete in the FIH Hockey World League Semifinals from July 8-23.
Magadan was one of 18 U.S. team members to earn a prestigious spot on the travel roster. This past week, she and the U.S. squad took the field against Ireland for a three-game exhibition series, where the Randolph, N.J. native saw action in all three outings and earned her first international cap.
The U.S. will open up pool play against Chile on Saturday, July 8 at 10 a.m. EST. To view the complete schedule and see who is also in Pool B with the U.S., click here.
