EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - Recent 2006 graduate Jenna Bratz (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) has raked in yet another academic award, as she garnered ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District II First Team laurels, announced on Wednesday afternoon. The field hockey senior maintained a 3.89 grade-point average over her four years at Lafayette.

Bratz's cumulative GPA matched the fourth highest mark on the women's first team at-large District II list, which included 10 honorees. The mathematics major is a three-time Patriot League Academic Honor Roll member and headlined a group of seven Lafayette field hockey players to earn National Field Hockey Coaches Association honor roll accolades in the fall. As a senior, Bratz cleaned-up the College's female scholar-athlete awards, taking home both the 2005 Maroon Club Female Scholar-Athlete Award and 2005-06 Class of 1913 Trophy.

An EXCEL Scholar, Bratz was also a member of Pi Mu Epsilon National Honorary Mathematics Society and helped to found Lafayette's chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

A three-year starter for the Maroon & White, Bratz started 56 games in a Leopard uniform, including all 18 as a senior. She totaled a career-high seven points (3 goals, 1 assist) in her final season, bringing her career total to 17 points on seven goals and three assists. For her efforts, the tri-captain nabbed Second Team All-Patriot League accolades for the second year in a row.

Bratz helped Lafayette to a 7-11 record in the fall and is one of four graduated seniors.
