Patriot League Announces Field Hockey Academic Honor Roll

EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - Seven members of Lafayette's field hockey team have been named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, including senior Virginia Foulkrod, who was one of two student-athletes with a 4.0 GPA for the fall 2004 semester.
Foulkrod (Liverpool, N.Y./Cicero) is a History and Geology double major. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.2 GPA and be awarded a varsity letter.
Senior Wynne Campbell (Columbus, Ohio/Columbus School for Girls) and junior Jenna Bratz (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) both earned a 3.92 GPA last fall. Campbell, an Anthropology and Sociology major, was a co-captain for the Leopards last season. Bratz, a Mathematics major who had a 4.0 GPA in the fall 2003 semester, will be a captain on the 2005 squad.
Senior Missy Farrand (Crestwood, Pa./Mountaintop) had a 3.30 GPA in Electrical and Computer Engineering, and classmate Emily James (Vienna, Va./James Madison) had a 3.25 GPA in Anthropology and Sociology. Farrand and James were co-captains along with Campbell.
Junior Amanda Eggleston (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) posted a 3.40 in Engineering. Lafayette's leading returning scorer next season with four goals and two assists, Eggleston earned a spot on the Patriot League second team along with Bratz and Farrand. Freshman Virginia Satterthwaite (Langhorne, Pa./The George School), who had a 3.23 in Biology, recorded two goals and two assists.
A total of 493 student-athletes were named to the League's Fall Academic Honor Roll, including 18 with 4.00 GPAs. The Fall Academic Honor Roll includes the sports of men's and women's cross country, field hockey, football, men's and women's soccer and volleyball.
