Leopards raise nearly $3,000 for A.L.S. research

Emily Janis enters her third season as an assistant coach at Lafayette in 2016. She most recently served as the junior varsity and assistant varsity coach at Brien McMahon High School from August 2013 through June 2014 and served as an assistant coach at Fairfield from August 2012 to June 2013.
Janis holds USA Field Hockey Level 1 and Level 2 coaching certifications and has coached the Fairfield United Field Hockey clubs. She played four years of Division I field hockey at Fairfield and served as team captain her senior year. Janis graduated from Fairfield in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in New Media.
Currently, Janis is a trainer and brand ambassador for Nike, Inc. leading Nike Training Club classes for men and women ages 13 and up. She also works for Flywheel Sports, where she is responsible for providing high intensity cycling classes. Janis has continued her field hockey career as a player, playing in the 2014 Harrow Cup, the Big Apple Tournament and the North East Field Hockey Association.
She also works as an instructor and coach, coaching 1 on 1 field hockey training. She is responsible for designing, organizing and executing circuit training workouts. Janis develops training plans and sets goals with clients.
An avid runner in her free time, Janis completed the Boston Marathon during the spring of 2016.
