Lafayette erased a 2-0 deficit in the final five minutes of regulation and completed the comeback in overtime on senior Brittany Blass's first goal of the season. Freshman Rosie Shanks tallied the first two for the Leopards who moved to 2-0 on the season.

A pair of goals from Amanda Magadan helped push the Leopards past No. 13 Boston College, 4-2, in Lafayette's season opener on Saturday afternoon. Kelsey Mead also tallied a goal and two assists in the game.

The Lafayette field hockey team is looking to make its way back to the top of the Patriot League this season. Under the direction of head coach Jennifer Stone in her second year, the Leopards are poised for another run at the League title.

Lafayette field hockey head coach Jennifer Stone announced the addition of Emily Janis to her coaching staff on Thursday. Janis most recently served as the junior varsity and assistant varsity coach at Brien McMahon High School from August 2013 through June 2014.

Lafayette field hockey senior Brittany Blass was named the Patriot League Preseason Defensive Player of the Year, while classmate Jenna Seybert joined Blass on the Preseason All-Patriot League Team, the League announced Tuesday.
