Big Weekend Ahead for Field Hockey

The Lafayette field hockey team will host Boston University on Saturday at 12 p.m. to open its Patriot League schedule. The Leopards begin conference play against a 2-3 Terrier team. On Sunday Lafayette will host reigning national champion Connecticut for their Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Game at 1 p.m.

Colbourne Claims Second Rookie of the Week

Lafayette freshman Ellen Colbourne was named Patriot League Rookie of the Week for the second time this season, the League announced on Monday. The British Columbia native tallied her first collegiate goal against Liberty on Friday.

Leopards Fall to No. 6 Penn State

Lafayette field hockey fell at No. 6 Penn State on Sunday afternoon. Kelsey Mead tallied the lone goal for the Leopards who moved to 4-2 this season.

The Lafayette field hockey team pulled away in the second half to christen the new turf at Rappolt Field with a 4-2 win over Liberty on Friday evening.

Comeback Bid Falls Short for Field Hockey

Lafayette's comeback bid fell just short as Rutgers held on for a 2-1 win over the Leopards. The Maroon and White fell to 3-1 this season, while the Scarlet Knights improved to 3-1.
