EASTON, Pa. – Lafayette junior forward Emily Homan was named Patriot League Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday afternoon. She averaged 21 points and 10 rebounds in two contests, helping Lafayette women's basketball to a 2-0 start this season.

Homan was dominant in both games scoring 21 points against Rider in Lafayette’s home opener. The junior finished Sunday’s game at Brown with her 11th double-double of her career, 21 points and 13 rebounds, while also adding two blocks.

The Upper Darby, Pa. native was part of a Lafayette frontcourt that controlled the paint, outscoring its opponents, 82-36, in two games. Homan knocked down a pair of free throws to seal an opening night win over Rider, and followed that with the go-ahead layup at Brown with 24 seconds to play on Sunday before blocking a shot with two seconds left to preserve the win.

Homan and the Leopards return to action on Friday night at 8 p.m. against Columbia in Kirby Sports Center.
