Lafayette junior awarded the Ted and Georgia Metropolis Prize in Geology

EASTON, Pa. – Lafayette women’s basketball junior Emily Homan was awarded the Ted and Georgia Metropolis Prize in Geology at the annual All-College Honors Convocation on May 4, recognizing the top students in each discipline. Homan leads the women’s basketball team with a 3.56 cumulative GPA.
The Ted and Georgia Metropolis Prize in Geology is an award given to junior or senior Geology majors who have exhibited high academic achievement and demonstrated enthusiasm for geology and environmental geosciences both inside and outside the classroom and through service.
The Upper Darby, Pa. native was the only junior selected to the Patriot League All-Academic Team this season. She was also a Second Team All-Patriot League selection after leading the Leopards with 13.7 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.
