Homan Picks up Academic All-League Honors

EASTON, Pa. – Lafayette junior forward Emily Homan earned a spot on the Academic All-Patriot League Team, the league announced on Wednesday afternoon.
The Academic All-Patriot League Team honors student-athletes who excel in their sport and the classroom, and the size equals the sport's first-team All-Patriot League composition. Sports information directors, who cannot vote for their own student-athletes, select the award winners. Student-athletes must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade-point average and be a starter or key reserve.
Homan, who was named to the All-Patriot League Second Team, was Lafayette’s leading scorer averaging 13.6 ppg this season. The two-time Patriot League Player of the Week is a Geology major and carries a 3.56 GPA. The Upper Darby, Pa. native currently ranks 15th in scoring in program history with 1,054 points.
The Leopards play American Thursday night in the Patriot League Quarterfinals. Opening tip from Washington, D.C. is scheduled for 7 p.m. and can be seen on the Patriot League Network.
