EASTON, Pa. – Lafayette junior forward Emily Homan was named the Patriot League’s Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, the League announced on Monday afternoon. She averaged 27.5 points and nine rebounds in two contests, as Lafayette split its pair of games last week.
Homan scored a career-high 32 points on 15-of-21 shooting and collected a game-high 13 rebounds for her second double-double of the season in the Leopards’ road loss to Holy Cross. On Saturday, Homan led the Leopards to a 73-51 blowout win over rival Lehigh, scoring a game-high 23 points.
The Upper Darby, Pa. native raised her points per game average by 1.5 points, to 13.9, while making 23-of-37 (69.2 percent) for the week. Homan’s recognition is her second of the season and the third of her career.
The Leopards return to action on Wednesday night on the road at Colgate. Opening tip from Cotterell Court is set for 7 p.m. and the game can be seen live on the Patriot League Network.
