Easton, Pa. - Legendary basketball coach Gary Williams spoke with members of the Lafayette Athletics staff as part of the Maroon Club's Coaches Lecture Series on Friday afternoon. Williams returned to Lafayette where he was the head men's soccer coach from 1971-1976 and an assistant basketball coach during the same time under Dr. Tom Davis.

Williams was an assistant on the 1972 men's basketball team that is being inducted into the Maroon Club Hall of Fame, before his time at Maryland where he won a National Championship in 2002. He spoke to coaches today about all aspects of coaching, being a leader and creating a culture of excellence in an athletic program.
