BRONX, N.Y. - Sophomore Laura Nann (Bernardsville, NJ/Bernards) ran an 18:42 to win the individual title and lead the Lafayette women's cross country team to a ninth-place finish at the ECAC Cross Country Championships on Friday.

Nann toured the course in 18:42, beating her nearest opponent by just under two seconds in the 160-runner field at Fordham University. Catherine Carson (York, PA/Episcopal) was the team's second-place finisher, clocking a 19:42 for 32nd place.

Lehigh claimed the overall women's team title with 121 points. Lafayette finished with 256, placing behind Colgate (131), Manhattan (138), Rutgers (163), Albany (166), Columbia (182), Fordham (187) and Marist (241), but ahead of 15 other schools.

The Lafayette men's cross country team turned in a strong third-place finish with 147 points, placing behind only Manhattan (85) and Columbia (143) but ahead of Lehigh (172) and 24 other squads.

Art Lathers (Dennisville, NJ/Middle Township) turned in the Leopards' top time with a 26:06, good enough for 11th place. Mark Kitz Carteret, NJ/Carteret) also finished in the top 20 for Lafayette, runniong a 26:25 for 17th place.
