Conrad, Keel Earn Points in Losses at Villanova

VILLANOVA, Pa. – The Lafayette men’s and women’s tennis teams each fell by 6-1 scores on Saturday afternoon at Villanova as Mason Keel and Grace Conrad earned the lone points for either side in defeat.

Conrad continued her excellent run of play, winning her fourth straight singles match. In the third flight, she was able to back up a 6-3 opening-set with a 7-5 second to earn the point.

On the men’s side, Mason Keel was the bright spot, defeating his opponent in the second flight by a 6-3, 6-4 score. It was the final match for the men in the regular season as they prepare for Patriot League Tournament play, beginning on Thursday at Navy.

The women still have two matches left on their regular-season slate, finishing up Patriot League play on Monday at Lehigh. The Leopards then host TCNJ on Wednesday at 4 p.m. before their tournament gets underway on April 27 at Lehigh.
