Army Records 7-0 Sweep in League Men's Tennis Play

WEST POINT, N.Y. (www.lafayette.edu) - Andrew Mott pushed John Houghton to a tiebreaker at first singles, losing 3-6, 6-4 (10-7), and also played in the most competitive doubles match of the day as Army claimed a 7-0 win in Patriot League tennis on Sunday. Army's season finale leads into the league tournament next weekend at American, where the Eagles will be the no. 1 seed. The Black Knights (19-4 overall) wrapped up PL play with a 5-1 record and will be the no. 2 seed. The Leopards (5-8, 0-4 PL) still have two league matches remaining. They will host Navy on Monday afternoon in Easton, and travel to Lehigh on Tuesday. The team of Houghton and Carl Fisher downed Mott and Paul Gaurino 8-5 in the No. 1 doubles match-up. Brett Kraft and Jeremy Fehrs fell 8-3 at No. 2, and Brett Warren and John Zazzu went down 8-4 at No. 3. Salas defeated Warren 6-4, 6-4 at second singles, and Gaurino dropped the No. 6 singles contest 6-3, 6-4 to David Collins. Singles Doubles
