Lafayette (5-9) battled to the end but fell 4-3 against St. Peter’s on Thursday afternoon at Sullivan Courts.

In No. 3 singles, Steve Benezra defeated Jay Gramatica in three sets 4-6, 7-6 (4), (10-6). Scott Gelbman and Justin Harr both handed their opponents losses in No. 4 and 5 singles, respectively.

In doubles, Eric Wiley and Doug Gallagher teamed up to defeated the brother combination of Alex and Chris Frakes 8-3. Lafayette hosts Wagner at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
