Villanova Ousts Men's Tennis, 6-1

VILLANOVA, Pa. - James Oliver earned a win at No. 4 singles for the Lafayette men's tennis team on Thursday at Villanova, but the host Wildcats claimed the remainder of the matches en route to a 6-1 win. Lafayette now stands at 5-8 in dual matches this season. Oliver was victorious in straight sets, 6-3, to earn his individual win. Brandon Goldstein and Andrew Morris both went to a third set in their singles matches, while the No. 3 doubles pair of Doug Gallagher and Will Mercorella was ousted in a tiebreak, 8-7 (5). The Leopards are back in action on Tuesday, April 10 at Sullivan Courts against Saint Joseph's. Patriot League play resumes on Sunday, April 15 with a home match against Bucknell. Results
