Men's Tennis Drops Patriot League Pair

EASTON, Pa. - The Lafayette men's tennis team fell in a pair of Patriot League outings this weekend. The Leopards were swept at perennial league power Navy on Saturday and fell to Colgate, 5-2, at Sullivan Courts on Sunday. The Leopards now stand at 5-7 overall in dual matches and 1-3 in Patriot League competition. Lafayette's victories against the Raiders came courtesy of Doug Gallagher - 6-4, 5-7, 10-4 - at No. 1 singles and Andrew Morris - 6-4, 7-6 (3) - in the No. 6 spot. Brandon Goldstein and Scott Gelbman both battled to a third set before dropping their singles encounters at No. 2 and No. 5, respectively. Gallagher and Will Mercorella were also in the midst of a 6-6 match at No. 3 doubles that was not finished due to inclement weather. The Leopards return to action on Thursday, April 5 at Villanova. Patriot League play resumes on Sunday, April 15 in Easton against Bucknell. Results
