EASTON, Pa. – The Leopards men’s tennis team lost at Army on Friday afternoon, 7-0 in West Point, N.Y. Lafayette dropped to 2-5 for the season.

Senior Scott Gelbman battled at second singles, but fell to Rashad Shelton, 7-5, 6-4. Sophomore Brandon Goldstein was defeated at first singles, 6-3, 6-1, while classmate Alex Charchalis lost at sixth singles, 6-0, 6-2. Freshmen Gavin Studner, Brian Stefanowicz and Chris Matturri all dropped their singles matches.

In doubles Gelbman and Matturri were defeated, 8-1 at first doubles, while Goldstein and sophomore Jake Lazer fell, 8-3 at second doubles. Studner and Stefanowicz lost at third doubles, 8-3.

Lafayette stays on the road Saturday March 23 when they play Holy Cross in West Point, N.Y. at noon.
