The Lafayette junior recorded three first place finishes at the Delaware meet for the honor.

EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - Lafayette junior swimmer Dan Sherry '02 (Newtown Square, Pa./Radnor) was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division I Men's Swimming and Diving Performer of the Week after recording three first place finishes in a dual non-conference meet at Delaware on Dec. 8.
Sherry won the 50-yard freestyle (22.20) and the 100-yard freestyle to go along with a first place finish as a member of the 400-yard individual medley team in the Leopards' 127-112 victory over the Fightin' Blue Hens.
With a second place finish in Lafayette's win over Rider in the 50-yard freestyle and a third place finish in the 100-freestyle in the loss to Towson, he holds the third fastest time on the squad in the 50-yard and the second fastest clocking at the 100-yard freestyle this season.
The Lafayette men's swimming and diving team (3-3, 0-1 Patriot League) will go on its annual Winter Training Trip from Jan. 4-11 and will return to competition on Jan. 13 at Bucknell in its second Patriot League dual meet of the season.
