EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - Freshman Jakub Pritz (Holmes, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) wrapped up a stellar rookie season by being named to the All-Patriot League team. Pritz earns the honor after capturing the league title in the 50-yd. freestyle in a time of 20.58, while smashing a school record of 20.98 set in 1992 by Andrew Ruthorfurd.

The freshman from Holmes, Pa. emerged as a major contributors to the Leopards this season, notching 13 first-place, five second-place and two third-place finishes during the regular season. Pritz was also a member of the 400-yd. and 200-yd. free relay teams which took four top spots and three second-place finishes on the season.

Pritz capped off a successful season at the Patriot League Championships last weekend at Navy where he took first place in the 50-yd. free and fourth in both the 100-yd. and 200-yd. free events. Pritz also qualified for the ECAC Championship meet in the 50- and 100-yd. free events, to be held in Pittsburgh on March 1-3.

The men's swimming and diving team finished the season at 3-4 overall with wins over St. Peter's, Delaware and Binghamton. Lafayette has qualified 11 men and eight women for the ECAC Championships.
