Chris Grabowski Named Patriot League Men's Swimmer of the Week

EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - Lafayette senior Chris Grabowski (Port Carbon, Pa./Pottsville Area) has been named the Patriot League Men's Swimmer of the Week following his performance at the Bison Invitational at Bucknell on Saturday.
Grabowski claimed a pair of individual first-place finishes, taking the 100-yard backstroke in 53.38 and the 400 IM in 4:13.69. He also joined John Veltri, Jakub Pritz and Stephen Connlain on the 200-yard freestyle relay team that finished third in 1:26.89. Grabowski's time in the 400 IM is the fastest by a Lafayette swimmer this season.
Grabowski claims the league's weekly honor for the second time this season and third time in his career.
Lafayette's men's and women's swimming and diving teams travel to Navy for the Patriot League Championships Feb. 26-28.
