Men's Swimming Falls to Lehigh, 136-98

BETHLEHEM, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - Lafayette's men's swimming and diving team fell to Lehigh, 136-98, on Friday night in Bethlehem.

Seniors Chris Grabowski (Port Carbon, Pa./Pottsville Area) and Jakub Pritz (Holmes, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) both earned a pair of first-place finishes, while Greg Van Volkenburg added a first-place finish in the 200 freestyle.

Grabowski touched the wall first in the 1,000 freestyle (10:04.67) and 200 butterfly (1:54.83), while Pritz was a winner in the 50 freestyle (21.64) and 100 freestyle (48.67). In addition, the 400 freestyle relay team of Pritz, Van Volkenburg, Stephen Connlain (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown) and John Veltri (Lawrence, N.J./Lawrence) finished first in 3:31.52.

Grabowski added a second-place finish in the 500 freestyle, while Van Volkenburg was second in the 200 backstroke.

Lafayette is now off until Jan. 15, when the Leopards travel to Colgate for a dual meet at 1 p.m.
