Dragons overpower Leopards 152-89 for the non-conference win.

EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - The Leopard men's swimming and diving team fell to Drexel 152-89 today in non-conference action in Ruef Natatorium. Lafayette evens its record at 1-1 while Drexel improves to a similar 1-1 overall mark.
Lafayette was led by sophomore Steven Berkowitz (Scotch Plains, N.J./Scotch Plains Fanwood) and freshman Jakub Pritz (Holmes, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) who each earned two first place finishes. Berkowitz took the title in the 200 IM (1:59.88) and 200 fly (2:01.63) while Pritz took first in the 50 free (22.02) and 100 free (49.26) events.
Pritz and Berkowitz teamed up with sophomore Kristopher Klein (Oswego, N.Y./Oswego) and senior co-captain Dan Sherry (Radnor, Pa./Radnor) to earn a second place finish in the 400 medley relay event to open the meet. Klein went on to finish second in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:04.06.
The Dragons were paced by freshman Zack Wolff who won two freestyle distance events in the 1000 (10:26.22) and 500 free (4:58.88) competitions. Diver Kevin Coogan contributed to the win by taking home the one- and three-meter titles.
Drexel (1-1) travels to Newark, Del. to take on Delaware on Nov. 17 at 1 p.m.
Lafayette (1-1) travels to Bethlehem to take on Patriot League rival Lehigh on Nov. 16 at 7 p.m.
