Men's Swimming and Diving Team Finishes Second at Lafayette Invitational

EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - Lafayette's men's swimming and diving team finished runner-up for the second straight year at the Lafayette Invitational on Sunday.

Seton Hall won the meet with 307 team points, while Lafayette was second with 244 and Kutztown third with 115.

Seniors Chris Grabowski (Port Carbon, Pa./Pottsville Area) and Jakub Pritz (Holmes, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) finished first in the 400 IM and 50 free, respectively. Grabowski added a second-place in the 200 back and took third in the 50 back and 200 free. Pritz added third-place finishes in the 50 and 200 breast.

Greg Van Volkenburg (Erie, Pa./Cathedral Prep) finished third to lead a contingent of five Leopards in the top eight in the 200 IM.

Lafayette returns to the pool this weekend, swimming the Potomac Relays in Washington, D.C. on Friday, then visiting Annapolis, Md. for a tri-meet with Navy and Rider on Saturday.
