BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (www.lafayette.edu) - The men's swimming and diving team wrapped up its regular season on Saturday with a 128-109 win at Binghamton. The victory puts the Leopards over .500 with an overall record of 5-4 heading into the Patriot League championshipts on Feb. 15-17.
The Leopards (1-2 Patriot League) got first place finishes by: Dan Sherry in the 50-yard free, Justin Gaudreau and Mike Sandain the 3-meter dive (tie), Sanda in the 1-meter dive and Kris Klein in the 200-yard backstroke.
Also earning first place finishes were the 4x400 medley relay team (Klein, Rob Bateman, Steve Berkowiz and John Veltri) and the 400-yard freestyle relay (Sherry, David Watts, Lucas Kimmel and Janis Eisl).
The Patriot League Championships are being hosted by Colgate on Feb. 15-17 with events starting at 11 a.m. on each day of competition.
