EASTON, Pa. - Sean Peckham and Kyle Scharfenberg have been selected to the NCAA Division I All-Mid-Atlantic Team by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. Both student-athletes were also All-Patriot League honorees for the Lafayette men's soccer team in 2011.

Peckham was named Second Team All-Region one year after garnering Third-Team laurels in 2010. The two-time First Team All-Patriot League midfielder, who handles the Leopards' corner- and direct-kicking duties, scored one goal and tallied six assists in 15 matches to lead all Patriot League players with 0.40 assists per match. Three of Peckham's assists came in League play. Academically, the junior from Warminister, Pa. is an Economics and Business major.

Scharfenberg nabbed a Third Team All-Region distinction after scoring a team-high seven goals in 2011, the most by a Leopard since Scott Hawkins '08 found the net seven times in 2007. The junior midfielder's 16 points were also a team-best total and the most by a Lafayette student-athlete since Hawkins' 18 points in 2006. Scharfenberg, a Second Team All-Patriot League honoree, shared a pair of League highs with three goals and seven points in Patriot League play despite missing the Leopards' Patriot League opener against Navy. In the classroom, the Sylvania, Ohio native earned 2010 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll laurels as an Economics and Business major.

Lafayette concluded the 2011 campaign at 9-5-4 - the program's 11th consecutive winning season under Head Coach Dennis Bohn - and ranked fourth in the nation in team defense with a 0.47 goals-against average. Second-Team honoree Julian Plummer, a freshman defender, joined Peckham and Sharfenberg on the All-Patriot League squad.
