Nov. 22, 2013

EASTON, Pa. – The Lafayette’s men’s soccer program was one of 270 collegiate soccer teams to receive the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Team Academic Award for the 2012-13 academic year. To be eligible for the award, a team must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better.

Head coach Dennis Bohn’s team combined for a 3.17 grade-point average, which ranked third in the Patriot League behind Bucknell (3.41) and Loyola (3.20). A total of 863 college soccer teams (270 men, 593 women) posted a team grade point average above 3.0 and 186 of those schools, including Lafayette, had both their men's and women's programs recognized with the honor.

This is the seventh straight year that Bohn’s program has received the award and the 11th time overall. The NSCAA has been recognizing academic excellence since 1996.
