Dodds Named Academic All-Patriot League

Go Leopards!

Nov. 13, 2013

EASTON, Pa. – Ryan Dodds of the Lafayette men’s soccer team has been named to the Academic All-Patriot League Team, the conference office announced Wednesday. The award comes after Dodds was recently selected to the Capital One Academic All-District II Team.

Student-athletes were nominated with the criteria being a starter or key player in 2013 with a minimum 3.20 grade-point average. Voting was conducted by the League’s men’s soccer sports information directors who could not cast a ballot for their own student-athletes.

Dodds, who hails from West Chester, Pa., is a two-time member of the Patriot League’s Academic Honor Roll and holds a 3.79 grade-point average as a Mechanical Engineering and Economics double major. He posted a 3.88 GPA in the spring semester and started in all 18 games for the Leopards in 2013. Dodds scored one goal, had an assist and was part of eight shutouts from his defensive midfield position.

Dodds is one of six starters who will return for the Leopards in 2014.
