EASTON, Pa. - Blake Fink and Graham Heydt of the Lafayette men's soccer team have been selected to the Academic All-Patriot League team, as announced today by the League office.

To be eligible for the Academic All-Patriot League Team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.20 or higher while contributing as a starter or key reserve. The team is voted upon by the each member institution's sports information contact for men's soccer.

Fink, a junior forward who was also selected to the Capital One Academic All-District II Team, owns a 3.78 GPA as a Government & Law major. He ranked second on the Leopards with four goals and nine points. Two of his markers were game-winners. Fink merited Patriot League Academic Honor Roll status in both 2009 and 2010.

A Mathematics-Economics major with a 3.68 GPA, Heydt adds an Academic All-League nod to a pair of Patriot League Academic Honor Roll appearances in 2009 and 2010. This season, the Leopards' senior keeper ranks third in Division I with a .908 save percentage and is fifth in the nation with a 0.50 goals-against average. In seven Patriot League matches, he led all goalkeepers in every statistical category - GAA (0.26), saves (45), save percentage (.957), saves per match (6.43) and shutouts (5).

Academic success has been a constant under Head Coach Dennis Bohn. The 2010 Leopards earned the NSCAA College Team Academic Award for the third straight year, as the squad's collective 3.38 GPA ranked among the 10 best in Division I.

On the pitch, Lafayette concluded the 2011 campaign at 9-5-4 - the program's 11th consecutive winning season - and wrapped up the regular season ranked fourth in the nation in team defense with a 0.47 goals-against average.
