McDonald Snags Second Patriot League Weekly Award

Easton, Pa. -Lafayette goalkeeper Nathan McDonald has been named Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week following a 1-0 win over Bucknell on Nov. 3.

McDonald recorded two saves and didn't allow any goals in the overtime victory. The shutout was his seventh of the year, giving him 10 in his career.

The recognition is the second of his career for the junior from Bay Village, Ohio. The Mechanical Engineering major is 7-4-3 overall and 3-1-3 in Patriot League matches this season.

Lafayette finished the regular season with a 7-7-4 overall record and a 3-1-3 Patriot League mark. The Leopards will play in the second semifinal of the Patriot League Tournament as the No. 2 seed against third-seeded Colgate at American's Reeves Field on Friday, Nov. 9. Kickoff from Washington, D.C. is scheduled for 2 p.m. following American's match with No. 4 Bucknell at 11 a.m. Sunday's championship game is set for 1 p.m.
