- Lafayette finishes up its 2017 regular season on Saturday afternoon, traveling to Baltimore, Md. for a battle with potentially top-ranked Loyola. The Greyhounds have lost just two games in Patriot League play and are playing for a chance to host the semifinal and final rounds of the Patriot League Tournament next weekend.
- The Leopards are still alive in the postseason picture, but would need three points and help to realize a playoff berth. An upset victory at Loyola, coupled with a loss or tie by two of Holy Cross, Colgate or American would put Lafayette into the six-team field. Holy Cross plays Lehigh, who has already clinched a tournament berth, Colgate battles BU, another postseason team, and American plays Army, in a similar boat as Lafayette, needing a victory and help for a tournament bid.
- If the Leopards were to advance into the Patriot League Tournament, the quarterfinal game would be played on Tuesday, with the most likely scenarios being trips to either Bucknell or Lehigh. Tuesday's game would likely be a 7 p.m. start, but official information on that game will be available following Saturday's game on GoLeopards.com.
