- Lafayette enters its Patriot League opener still seeking its first win of the season. The Leopards seem to be growing into full-strength, though, as many of their injured players are expected to be available for Saturday's contest.
-Senior goalkeeper Brian Ehrlich, beginning the season in a game-to-game competition for the starting job with classmate Brad Seeber, took over full-time duties in net during the non-conference slate due to a Seeber injury suffered in the Fairfield match. Ehrlich was solid between the pipes earlier this week, making two key stops to push the game against Albany into overtime.
- Head coach Dennis Bohn has used the non-conference schedule to gain experience for a youth-laden squad. The Leopards have just four seniors on this year’s team and three of them are goalies as Ehrlich, Seeber and Will Feldman join senior captain and defender Christian Moyse in the Class of 2018. The starting lineup against Albany featured two seniors (Ehrlich, Moyse), one junior (Joe DeStefano), six sophomores (Chris Gomez, Karim Hussamy, Diego Gomera-Tavarez, Dylan Royalty, Ryan Goncalves, James Gibson) and two freshmen (Martin Ssessanga, Andrew Venezia).
