- Lafayette is still seeking its first win of the 2017 campaign, hosting Albany this evening at Oaks Stadium. The Leopards are coming off a strong effort against La Salle on Monday evening, trimming a late lead to just one on a Christian Moyse goal in the 86th minute. The Leopards couldn't find the equalizer in the closing minutes, though, in the 2-1 road loss.
- Senior goalkeeper Brian Ehrlich, beginning the season in a game-to-game competition for the starting job with classmate Brad Seeber, has taken over full-time duties in net due to a Seeber injury suffered in the Fairfield match. Ehrlich was solid between the pipes over the weekend, making eight saves at La Salle.
- Head coach Dennis Bohn has used the non-conference slate in 2017 to gain experience for a youth-laden squad. The Leopards have just four seniors on this year’s team and three of them are goalies as Ehrlich, Seeber and Will Feldman join Moyse in the Class of 2018. The starting lineup against La Salle featured two seniors (Ehrlich, Moyse), one junior (Joe DeStefano), six sophomores (Chris Gomez, Krim Hussamy, Diego Gomera-Tavarez, Dylan Royalty, Ryan Goncalves, James Gibson) and two freshmen (Martin Ssessanga, Andrew Venezia).
