EASTON, Pa. - In celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the program, the Lafayette men's soccer team will host Quinnipiac on Saturday afternoon in a day full of events for its alumni.
Prior to kickoff at 2 p.m. against the Bobcats, an alumni game will be played at 11 a.m. before a pregame tailgate for alumni and friends at Kamine Pavilion at 12:30.
As part of the festivities, head coach Dennis Bohn and Dr. Wilbur Oaks '51 will be joined by the officials for the match and participate in a ceremonial first kick to commerate the event. Then, at halftime, all of the soccer alumni in attendance will be welcomed to the field by Director of Athletics Bruce McCutcheon and will take a group photograph at midfield facing the Oaks Stadium press box. The photo will be available to download for free following the game on GoLeopards.com.
GoLeopards.com will also have complete coverage of the game with a photo gallery and recap immediately following the final whistle. At that time, the team, coaching staff, alumni and friends will hold a post-game reception at Kirby Sports Center with food and drinks before the start of Saturday's football season-opener against Sacred Heart.
