EASTON, Pa. - Lafayette men's soccer student-athletes Sean Peckham and Julian Plummer have been selected to the Patriot League's inaugural Preseason All-Patriot League Team, announced by the League on Tuesday.

Peckham, a senior midfielder, claims a spot on the Preseason All-League Team after being a First Team All-Patriot League selection each of the past two seasons. Lafayette's team captain, Peckham, was also a Second Team All-Mid Atlantic Region choice after scoring a goal and distributing six assists in 2011.

Joining Peckham on the preseason squad is Plummer, a sophomore who started all 18 games at center back and was a two-time Patriot League Rookie of the Week in 2011. Plummer was also honored as a Second-Team All-League player following the season.

The Patriot League also released its annual preseason men's soccer poll, which slotted Lafayette fifth in the eight-team league. Lafayette claimed two first places votes, behind Colgate, who was picked to repeat as League champion, American, Lehigh and Navy. The top four teams in the voting each qualified for the Patriot League Tournament last season.

The Patriot League Preseason All-League Team and Poll are voted on by the League's head coaches and sports information directors.

Lafayette opens its 2012 season on the road when it plays Fairleigh Dickinson on Aug. 28 at 7 p.m.
