EASTON, Pa. – Saturday morning marked the return of the Lafayette men’s soccer team to College Hill as the team begins official preparations for the 2012 season.

A meeting with the Sports Medicine staff, a welcome for the incoming freshmen class and their families, followed by a team dinner and a meeting in the team’s locker room at Kamine Varsity House are on the schedule for day one. On the field training for head coach Dennis Bohn’s squad begins on Sunday morning.

Bohn looks to lead Lafayette to its 12^th consecutive winning season in 2012, as the team returns eight starters and 18 letterwinners from last season’s team which posted a 9-5-4 overall record. Of the eight returning starters, six are seniors, including 2011 All-Patriot League selections Sean Peckham, Kyle Scharfenberg and Julian Plummer.

Lafayette’s regular season kicks off on Aug. 28 in Teaneck, N.J. against Fairleigh Dickinson, the first of three-straight road games prior to the home opener against Cornell on Sept. 7 at 7 p.m.
