Destefano, Williams Tabbed as MSOC Captains

Aug. 9, 2018

EASTON, Pa. – Lafayette College men’s soccer coach Dennis Bohn announced on Wednesday evening that senior Joe DeStefano and junior Christian Williams will serve as the team’s captains for the 2018 season.

The senior has been a staple in the Leopards’ lineup for the previous three seasons, starting every game he has suited up for. DeStefano has netted two goals in his career predominately playing at the center back position.

Williams joins the Maroon and White as a transfer from Florida Atlantic where he played all but 13 minutes in his two seasons with the Owls. The junior served as team captain as a redshirt sophomore and was an Academic All-Conference selection that year.

The Leopards will kick off their 2018 campaign on Aug. 24 when they host St. Francis Brooklyn at Mike Bourger ’44 Field at Oaks Stadium at 7:05 p.m.
