2014 Lafayette Men's Soccer Schedule

EASTON, Pa. – Lafayette men’s soccer head coach Dennis Bohn announced the team’s 2014 schedule Thursday. The team will play eight home matches at Mike Bourger ’44 Field at Oaks Stadium this fall.

The Leopards start the 2014 season with against Saint Peter’s under the lights at Oaks Stadium on Friday August 29. The team will then make the trip to Rutgers for a 1 p.m. kickoff on August 31. Lafayette remains on the road for its next two games, at Fordham on September 5 and at Cornell on September 10.

The Maroon and White return home to take on St. Francis Brooklyn before hitting the road for a three-game swing. The Leopards visit Pittsburgh on September 17, followed by trips to Binghamton on the September 20 and Albany on the September 23.

Patriot League play begins on September 27 when Lafayette takes on Colgate at Oaks Stadium. The following weekend the Leopards travel to Annapolis, Md. take square off with defending Patriot League Champions, Navy.

The Leopards open up a three-game home stand with a midweek game against rival Lehigh, followed by a visit from Holy Cross on October 11.

Buffalo travels to Lafayette on October 14 for the Leopards final non-league action of the season. Patriot League play resumes with the Leopards first trip to Boston University on October 18. The following Saturday Lafayette welcomes the Eagles of American University for a noon kickoff.

A midweek trip to Lewisburg, Pa. to battle Bucknell is next for Lafayette, followed by a trip to West Point, N.Y. to take on Army. The Leopards close out the regular season against Loyola under the lights at Oaks Stadium on November 8.  

The Patriot League Tournament is scheduled for November 11-16. A pair of quarterfinal games will be played at the site of the higher-seeded team on November 11, with the sixth-seed visiting the third-seed and the fifth-seed at the fourth-seed. Those winners will then join the top two seeds in the weekend semifinal (Nov. 14) and championship game (Nov. 16), played at the site of the highest overall seed in the tournament. The brackets will re-seed after the quarterfinal round on Nov. 11.
