Bohn Adds DeMatteo to Coaching Staff

July 7, 2015

EASTON, Pa. – Lafayette men’s soccer head coach Dennis Bohn announced the addition of Steven DeMatteo as an assistant coach on Tuesday morning.

DeMatteo, a 2013 graduate of William Paterson University in Wayne, N.J., spent the last two seasons at Division III Arcadia where he coordinated all recruiting efforts and was responsible for team and opponent film breakdown, opponent scouting and all functional field player training. Additionally, he assisted in team academics and organized alumni events, one-day clinics, summer camps and team gear packages.

During his time at Arcadia, DeMatteo also served as a Staff Head Coach for Match Fit Academy FC at the USSF Academy. There, he was responsible for conducting team sessions and developing players to prepare them for the USSF Academy level of play.

DeMatteo joins second-year assistant Jorge Chapoy and Michael Hurley entering his sixth season on the sidelines. The Leopards will look to improve upon a 6-10-2 campaign a year ago when they open play this fall.
