EASTON, Pa. - Lafayette Head Men's Soccer Coach Dennis Bohn has announced the addition of eight student-athletes who will join the Lafayette men's soccer team as members of the Class of 2018. The group consists of three players from Pennsylvania and five others from Connecticut, Florida, Maryland, New Jersey and New York.
Matthew Dicker played four years at Southern Lehigh High School where he was a team captain and Most Valuable Player as a versatile midfielder and defender. A First-Team Colonial League selection and Second Team Lehigh Valley All-Area choice, Dicker played club soccer for FC Elite. Academically, Dicker is a member of the National Honor Society and is an Honor Roll student, and spent time as a teen counselor.
A native of Ambler, Pa., Brian Ehrlich comes to College Hill by way of Hatboro Horsham High School where he was a goalkeeper for four years. A three-year starter, Ehrlich earned the Coaches' Award as a senior after posting six shutouts and was named newcomer of the year following his sophomore season. Ehrlich helped lead his team to the PA District Playoffs in 2011 and served as team captain during his senior campaign. A multi-sport athlete, Ehrlich competed on the basketball team as a power forward and played football as a punter and kicker.
Joining the Leopards from the Keystone State is Wyatt Fabian, a resident of Sinking Spring, Pa. who attended The Hill School. Fabian was a four-year letter winner and team captain as a senior, when he helped lead his team to a 19-1 record, the Co-Prep National Championship and the PAISAA State Championship. A four-year starter, Fabian started 78 games in his career. The Hill School won 63 games during Fabian's career and he was honored as an All-Area First-Team and All-Mid-Atlantic Prep League First-Team selection four times. In 2012, Fabian was named the All-Area Soccer Player of the Year and the Mid-Atlantic Prep League Player of the Year. He continued his success by earning 2013 All-Southeastern PA First Team recognition. Fabian has served as a captain for Lehigh Valley United '95, one of the premier club teams in the country that has won five state championships as well as the 2010 and 2012 USYS Region I title. Fabian has also been a consistent representative of the EPYSA and Region I ODP teams.
From West Orange High School in West Orange, N.J., Ian Faloye scored 15 goals and assisted on 15 others. Faloye was a team captain during his senior season in which he led his team to a NJSIAA Group IV State Championship and earned an All-Group IV First-Team selection. The Worrall All-Area Player of the Year, was also recognized as an All-Essex County First-Team choice, was an All-Super Essex Conference First-Team member, and was All-State Second Team. Faloye is an Honor Roll student and part of the National Honor Society.
Daniel Felman will come to Lafayette from Berkeley Prep in Tampa, Fla., where he tallied 45 goals as a midfielder. Twice he led his team in assists, and was a First-Team All-County honoree after his sophomore and junior campaigns. A Class 2A State Player of the Year Runner Up as a junior, he also served as team captain and was the team's Most Valuable Player. He currently plays in the US Soccer Development Academy system with the Clearwater Chargers. Academically, Felman was a Dean's List student and earned a place on the Headmaster's List as a senior.
Winston Churchill High School's Josh Golob, started every game during his career and saw time on defense, in the midfield and at forward. For four years, Golob has played for the US Soccer Development Academy with DC United. Golob has been a consistent starter on his DC United team that made two appearances in the Academy Playoffs (2012 and 2013), went to the USSDA National finals, and finished the season ranked seventh in the country. Prior to his time with DC United's Academy squad, Golob played for Bethesda Soccer Club from 2007 to 2010, where he won the NCSL Division I Championship, was ranked fourth in the nation, won the Maryland State Cup and was a USYSA Regional Finalist. Golob was an Honor Roll student every semester at Winston Churchill.
Chris Moyse was a two-sport athlete in soccer and basketball at Half Hollow Hills East High School. The versatile athlete comes from the same high school as former Leopard, Jay Freedman '04. Moyse hails from Melville, N.Y. and was a Scholar-Athlete Award winner on defense. He was honored with the President's Award for Educational Achievement in 2010, a member of the National Honor Society and the High Honor Roll. Moyse was also part of the Key Club International and a Peer Ambassador. His addition continues a strong recruiting relationship to Long Island for the men's soccer program. Moyse, a current member of the US Soccer Development Academy, plays with Albertson Academy. He is set to rejoin former Albertson teammate and current Lafayette freshman standout, Ryan Egan.
Completing the class is a three-sport athlete from Avon Old Farms School in Avon, Conn. Brad Seeber played four years of soccer at goalkeeper, four years of basketball as a guard and was a hurdler for one year on the track and field team. A two-time WNEPSSA All-Star and three-year starter with 19 career shutouts, Seeber was an All-State selection in 2013. He was also a 2013 WNEPSSA Select Team member and team captain in 2013 after being named to the 2013 Preseason All-Prep School First Team and the Preseason All-American Watch List. A Headmaster's List student his first three years, Seeber also spent time as a volunteer for Avon Outreach and was the Editor-In-Chief of the Avon Record school newspaper.
The eight newcomers will replace six graduating seniors and enroll at Lafayette for the Fall 2014 semester.
