EASTON, Pa. - A league-best 21 members of the Lafayette men's soccer team have been recognized as members of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. All four classes and 13 academic majors are represented on the Leopards' roster of honorees.

The Leopards' 21 selections were by far the most of any Patriot League club. American ranked second with 14 members, followed by Bucknell and Colgate (13), Lehigh (11), Navy (10), Holy Cross (8) and Army (7). To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a grade-point average of 3.20 or higher in the fall semester and participate in one the Patriot League's seven fall championship sports.

Graham Heydt (Mathematics-Economics) led the way with a 3.90 GPA in the fall semester. Heydt and Blake Fink (Government & Law, 3.75 GPA) also earned NSCAA Scholar All-East and Academic All-Patriot League laurels for their efforts in the classroom during the 2011 season. Collectively, the men's soccer program boasted a 3.40 GPA in the fall - the highest in program history.

Luke Calvano (Economics & Business and Policy Studies double major, 3.60 GPA) concludes his career with four Patriot League Academic Honor Roll nods, while fellow seniors Heydt, Jake Johnson (English, 3.60) and Wayne Maminski (Economics & Business, 3.78 GPA) were all recognized for the third time in their four-year careers.

Academic success has been a constant during Dennis Bohn's 11-year tenure as head coach on College Hill. His student-athletes have earned five consecutive NSCAA Team Academic Awards and combined for 131 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll selections.
