Harvard and Lafayette End in 0-0 Tie

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Lafayette season of ties continued on Sunday as the men's soccer team battled to a 0-0 draw with Harvard. The Leopards remain unbeaten at 1-0-5.
Neither team produced much offense in the first half, as the Leopards and the Crimson combined for three shots before intermission. Lafayette claimed the first shot on goal of the match at the 8:31 mark and took a 2-0 shots advantage on an attempt from Jeff McLaughlin 11 minutes later.
Harvard (0-3-1) had its best chance with less than 12 minutes left in regulation when Andrew Chang headed a ball, but goalkeeper Nathan McDonald collected it to kept the Crimson off the board.
McDonald was tested and made two saves in the first overtime period, but neither team mustered a shot on goal in the second overtime period for the 0-0 final.
McDonald finished with five saves for his third shutout of the season and 14th of his career. Harvard goalie Brett Conrad recorded two saves in his first shutout of the season.
Lafayette continues non-league play on Saturday, hosting Binghamton at 2 p.m.
