Justin Makar has spent two seasons on the sidelines as an assistant coach. Makar primarily works with the Leopards' goalkeepers and is also an integral part of the recruiting and scouting efforts.

Under his instruction in 2011, goalkeeper Graham Heydt '12 ranked second in Division I in save percentage and fifth in goals-against average. Heydt also led all Patriot League net-minders in every statistical category during league play. As whole, the goalkeeping corps also ranked second in the nation in save percentage and eighth in shutout percentage with 10 clean sheets in 18 matches.

Before coming to College Hill, Makar spent three seasons as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Susquehanna University. His 2008 Susquehanna team won the Landmark Conference title and advanced to the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

A 2007 graduate of Susquehanna, Makar was a four-year starter for the Crusaders. He earned First Team All-Mid Atlantic Conference honors as team captain in 2006 and took home second-team laurels in 2004 and 2005. Makar was a three-time member of the All-Mid Atlantic Conference Academic Team (2004-06) and ranks among the all-time leaders at Susquehanna with 12 career assists.

Makar holds a National Coaching Diploma from the NSCAA. He is currently the head coach of the North Hunterdon Soccer Club U17 boys' team.
