Bohn Adds DeMatteo to Coaching Staff

Piscataway, N.J. native spent last two seasons at Arcadia

Assistant coach Michael Hurley enters his seventh season on Dennis Bohn's staff in 2016. 

Hurley is currently a member of the coaching staff at New Jersey Soccer Academy 04 (NJSA), where he is the head coach of the NJSA 04 River Plate (U18) and NJSA 04 Munich (U14) teams. In 2011, Hurley led the NJSA 04 USSF '94 DP Team that played in the 2011 Walt Disney World Tournament. He coached as an assistant for NJSA 04 Celtic from 2007-2009.

He currently serves as the head coach at Peak Performance Soccer Academy, a post he has held since 2010, and was the Business Development Manager in 2011 and 2012.

Hurley holds a USSF coaching license and has been an instructor at several collegiate camps, including Northwestern, Villanova and Indiana. In addition, Hurley attended the Coerver Coaching Clinic in 2009.

Hurley had both a standout high school and collegiate playing career. He was an all-state player at Neptune (N.J.) High School, where he won the 1981 state championship and is a charter member of school's hall of fame. Hurley attended Richard Stockton College and was a four-year starter and team captain. He earned All-NJAC honors twice during his career and graduated in 1985 with a degree in Computer Science.

Hurley has two children, Kyle and Shane, and resides in Wall, N.J.
