Nate Gibboney has completed two seasons as an assistant coach at Lafayette. Gibboney assists in on-field instruction as well as recruiting and scouting.
Gibboney came to College Hill after a three-year stint at Vassar College, where he served as an assistant coach. He also acted as interim head coach of the Brewers in the spring of 2009. That fall, the Vassar coaching staff was recognized as the Liberty League co-Coaching Staff of the Year after leading a squad that went 9-6-1 - the team's best record in six seasons - and featured the Brewers' first-ever Liberty League Player of the Year.
Prior to his three years at Vassar, Gibboney served as the assistant coach at Westminster College from 2005-07.
Gibboney played collegiate soccer at Susquehanna University. He was a four-year starter for the Crusaders as well as a two-year captain. Gibboney was named the 2004 Defensive Player of the Year as well as First Team All-Mid-Atlantic Conference.
Gibboney holds Advanced National, National, Advanced Regional, Regional and Goalkeeping Coaching Licenses and is a certified PIAA soccer official. He is also the assistant coach of Middlepath FC U-16 and U-17 teams and the trainer of the LaGrange U-17 club.
A 2005 graduate from Susquehanna, Gibboney holds a degree in Business Administration and received his Master of Education degree from Westminster in 2007.
