Dalgliesh Joins Men's Lax Staff

Sept. 29, 2009

EASTON, Pa. - Lafayette men's lacrosse head coach Terry Mangan has announced Scott Dalgliesh as the newest addition to the men's lacrosse staff.

Dalgliesh spent the 2008 and 2009 seasons as the assistant at Marywood University, guiding the squad to a 9-5 and 5-3 record in the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) in 2008, the squad's first year of existence. Marywood followed that season up with a 10-7 overall record and 5-1 PAC record in 2009.

At Marywood, he was responsible for a man-down defense that finished eighth in the country during 2008, stopping 86% of opponent's man-advantage opportunities.

He also worked closely with face-off personnel that was ranked third in Division III and saw his defense ranked third at the conclusion of the year with 8.93 goals against average.

Dalgliesh was also responsible for all in-season and of-season training and workout regimens for the program.

His community service also goes unnoticed, as he's the co-founder of the St. Patrick Church Hurricane Relief Fund, raising over $6,000 to repair damages the church suffered during Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

Dalgliesh is certified as a U.S. Lacrosse Level I Coaching trainer. He graduated with an undergraduate degree from Dickinson College in 2007 and got his masters degree in Public Administration at Marywood in May.
